Pines of Rome: 1. pini di Villa Borghese

Just finished a new video that was a blast to make. Here is Respighi’s Pines of Rome, pini di VIlla Borghese! I got to try out my new Pearl MalletStation and show off my single-note trumpet skills :-)

Shostakovich Symphony No. 10 Mvt. II

Sitting at home, I was trying to think of a way I could express myself without chamber music friends. I decided I’d make my own band! This is a piece that has lured young musicians into classical music for years and years.

Here's my arrangement of the second movement of Symphony No. 10 by Dmitri Shostakovich for marimba, vibraphone, and snare drum. Sym. 10, mvt. II was one of those pieces I listened to on repeat as a kid. I'm pretty sure I spend my 40s trying to impress 15-year-old version of me.

The Hammer Brothers are back! This was a long time in the making. I spent hours and hours on Mike Tyson's Punch-Out as a kid. I'm so grateful to collaborate with Michael Nickens on this passion project. We planted lots of Easter eggs in this. Got a favorite?
