Gros Morne Summer Music Percussion Camp

This August, get in the grove with one of America’s most dynamic percussionists and teachers of his generation. Paul Fadoul lit up the stage in GMSM’s 2017 Paul Simon Spectacular and he is back, leading a percussion camp design to introduce drummers of all ages and skills to a wide variety of drum technique, along with rhythms and instruments from around the world. Each camp participant will then have the option to join the GMSM band and wow the crowds in our 2018 Paul Simon Spectacular.

This camp is ideal for all student grades 3 and up (as of Fall 2018) who love playing the drums and percussion of all kinds, running from August 13-17, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Tuition for this camp is $200. Register for more than one camp and receive a 10%discount off of each additional camp!

Sherman Downey & Yvette Coleman will be returning to lead a cast full of talented performers, featuring our incredible 10 person band and students of the Graham Academy. “Further to Fly” will bring back favorites from last year’s show and introduce different selections from the Paul Simon Songbook. With musical direction by Gary Graham, this show re-unites creative team Yvette Coleman,Paul Fadoul, David Maggs & Ryanne Spencer. In the year that will see Paul Simon finish his performing career, audiences will once again be carried away by the magic of his storytelling through song and dance.

Saint Yves is born out of Toronto based artists originally hailing from Newfoundland. Yvette Coleman who performs as the former is a classically trained vocalist and singer-songwriter blending elements of pop, folk, and R&B. Saint Yves debuted its first single ‘Next to Me’ in July of 2017 and together with co-writer & band member Jon Pike under the name of BRDGS, released their latest single “Fortune” this past May. Together their credits have over 4 million streams on Spotify, have charted in the Top 30 on the Canadian CHR Billboard chart, and have awards that include an East Coast Music Award, and an iPOP Vocal competition. Saint Yves captivates audiences with sincere and vulnerable songwriting and is poised to break across the Toronto and international markets in the next year.
