Shostakovich Symphony No. 10 Mvt. II

Sitting at home, I was trying to think of a way I could express myself without chamber music friends. I decided I’d make my own band! This is a piece that has lured young musicians into classical music for years and years.

Here's my arrangement of the second movement of Symphony No. 10 by Dmitri Shostakovich for marimba, vibraphone, and snare drum. Sym. 10, mvt. II was one of those pieces I listened to on repeat as a kid. I'm pretty sure I spend my 40s trying to impress 15-year-old version of me.

Nagoya Marimbas by Steve Reich

Back in November, I posted a solo performance of Nagoya Marimbas by Steve Reich. It got over 10k views on Facebook! This was a beast to learn, but totally worth it. Enjoy!
